1. Stay in familiar areas and on a planned route.

2. Only go to houses or apartment buildings that are well lit and welcoming.

3. Pin a piece of paper on your child with their name and phone number.

4. Remind them not to eat any of the collected items until they are under adult supervision.

5. Be sure that if they are wearing masks that the mask is not obstructing their vision. Halloweenstreet.com recommends makeup as an alternative.

6. Be sure that children know that walking, not running is the safest way to get from house to house.
